In this article, we'll be covering:

  • Creating an article
  • Adding images
  • Embedding videos
  • Embedding media (like news articles, podcasts, PDFs and more)

Creating an article

To create an Knowledge item simply click Create an article in the top right when viewing a Knowledge category or your main Knowledge area.

You should now be in the create item section, and from here all you need to do is enter your content into the Twine WYSIWYG. It works just like a normal CMS, so you should have no problems here (and yes, it does support emojis).

Once you're ready to publish, simply switch the Visible toggle (like we have in the image below) and click Save Changes.

Adding images

To add an image to your article, press the image icon that sits above the text box. This will open the image editing window.

To upload an image from your computer, you need to press the Upload tab at the top of this window. Next, press Choose File, find your file on your computer and press Open. Finally, press Send to Server to embed the image into the content area.

Embedding videos

To embed a video in an article, simply copy and paste the URL and Twine will automatically embed the video for you.

Please note: if using a private video from Vimeo or Youtube, you may need to configure your video's privacy settings to enable embedding.

Embedding media

Twine uses iFramely, which means you can embed over 1800 different types of media. This includes news article, podcasts and much more.

Simply click the 'Add media' button in the editor, paste the link into popup and the link will be automatically embedded.
